
A refreshing and healthy smoothie is a great way to start any day. Add them to your diet or fill a hunger gap at any time of the day. Add any other of your favourite super foods (banana, wheat grass, pomegranates, blueberries for instance) to maximise on this great Vitamin C booster, especially at this time of year.
Juice of 1 grapefruit (white, pink or red) or large juicy orange
1 small ripe avocado
Squeeze of lemon juice
4-5tbsp thick bio yoghurt
1-2tbsp clear honey or to taste
1-2 ice cubes, optional
1. Put the citrus juice, avocado flesh and lemon juice into a blender and whiz briefly.
2. Add the yoghurt and honey and blend until smooth. Check the sweetness and add more honey to taste. Chill if you wish.
