
Good to know you are allowed sausage and mash on calorie-controlled diets, here is the low calorie version!
200g potatoes, peeled and chopped
Little milk
Seasoning
350g low fat sausages
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 red pepper
2-3 cloves garlic
Chives
1. Boil the potatoes in seasoned water until soft. Drain and mash with milk, seasoning and chopped chives. Keep warm.
2. Cook the sausages gently in a non-stick pan until almost cooked through. Then slice diagonally and return to the pan with the onion, pepper and garlic and cook briskly until peppers have softened and sausages cooked through.
3. Serve with the mashed potatoes and lots of crisp green vegetables or salad.
